My thoughts and prayers go to the people from Teresopolis - you can read about it here. It is a horrible natural disaster: more than 600 people are dead. It is expected that more than 1000 people will be dead. It speaks very close to me... I will share one thing: I know that region very well, as I used to go there every weekend with my family. Lots of people are isolated as the roads are totally destroyed.

Houses in several farms are destroyed. People are in shelters. One man had to carry his son on his back through the hills and forest to escape from a "bad zone". A woman that I met when I was a child is dead (she was living in the city, not on a farm). The news that are around here (at least the ones that I read) are not even close to what is going on there. Small roads are gone!! Main roads (highway) are gone in several places. Most bridges are gone! So the isolation is real!!!. Teresopolis is a "vacation" city, and, unfortunately, it is school vacation time!!! Please consider including the people from Teresopolis in your prayers.
